Task Counter

For a strategy task imported from an external system, the Task Counter is the identification number of the strategy task in the external system for the specific asset. Where the strategy task is defined in AMT, the task counter field usually remains blank or it is used to distinguish between strategy tasks that have the same combination of Component Code + Modifier Code + Task Type. For example: 1001, ZB01.

When AMT is integrated with Ellipse, the task counter equates to an MST number or standard job number. If you are a mining company setting up an equipment under a MARC, the task counter is used to distinguish between different billing steps.
